In the past, Rapid Solutions conducted five (5) day 'Face to Face Workshops' to cover the practical elements of the pest management training. These workshops were supplemented with several 'Learner Resource' and 'Assessment Books' to cover the theory component of the training.
Prior to our e-learning, Rapid Solutions also offered 'Distance Education' to students. This form of training was directed at those students working in the pest industry who got sufficient practical experience 'on the job', and therefore only required to formally learn the theory component. The same 'Learner Resource' and 'Assessment Books' were provided to these students, however they did not complete the five (5) day workshop.
In November 2013, Rapid Solutions implemented its 'E-Learning Centre' which enabled students to cover the majority of their learning online.
Our 'e-learning platform' quickly became very popular, due mainly to the fact that it saved students/employers a great deal of time and money in travel and accommodation, as well as time away from the workplace. Students could now do their training any time of day or night they wanted, with the only requirement being a computer and internet connectivity. As the industry's leading training organisation our demand for e-learning training greatly reduced the demand for our other other learning methods and as such, we no longer use the outdated 'Face to Face' or 'Distance Education' training methods.
